If you mostly/only listen to soft pop and chillout, and if you travel a lot on planes, and if you hate the look of the Plantronics and do not need their extra functions, then you should buy the Samsung. For example multipoint, open mic, and voice prompts. They are very expensive and in my opinion they absolutely do NOT worth the price over the Plantronics unless you really desperately need their somehow better ANC.Īll the rest they do, the Plantronics do it equally or better. They are the ONLY headphone I have tested which have this problem.
The Samsung have a VERY annoying problem: each single time that you turn them on, you find their volume at Min and you have to turn the volume up again. I did not notice such a huge difference with that of the Plantronics, but the guy at Thewirecutter who reviewed them for the ANC Headphones comparison stated that the Samsung have "much better" ANC.Ĭonsidering that he also stated that the Plantronics sound "acceptable" while for me they sound MUCH better than the Samsung, I would say that we must have two very different pair of ears.ītw, the Plantronics get quite louder, which compensate their "worse" ANC They do not get very loud but loud enough to me. You can even share your music with Sound Share, a feature that allows you to share audio with a second Level U PRO ANC, Level U PRO, Level On Wireless PRO or Level On Wireless headset. The Soundstage is very nice, although it is of course influenced by the sound signature, giving priority to the instruments and sounds which runs on mid frequencies. Control call and music functionality by way of smart magnets in the earbuds - start/pause music and answer/end calls when magnets are connected or disconnected. Not too pronounced as in the AKG, not wonderfully and gently present like in the Plantronics Backbeat Pro. There is a nice warmness in the mids, yes, but somehow there is a slight dullness in the lower mids and upper bass. The quality remains mediocre, not punchy. Even if in comparison with the AKG K845 at least with the Samsung you can EQ it and it improves in quantity.
Elegant look, solid build, premium feel with wonderful comfort.īass is very poor. Warm signature, proudly huge and stubbornly not foldable. A real comparison will be posted sooner or later in the "Huge Comparison" thread in the Forum. I compared them to many other BT Headphones.
